Welcome to Zakopane, la winter capital of Poland! It is in fact a holiday resort located in the Tatra Mountains, in the southern part of the country, near the border with Slovakia. In winter it is one of the most popular places, thanks to its ski facilities that offer wonderful slopes suitable for all skiers, from beginners to the most experienced! But in summer it is no exception: here you can stay in close contact with nature, relax and have fun in the swimming pools or adventure parks, or take the many hiking trails that will take you to the top of the mountains.

Zakopane is located in southernmost part of Poland, on the border with Slovakia. It is a holiday town, it develops between 750 and 1.126 meters above sea level, at the foot of the Tatra Mountains, the highest mountain group in the Carpathians.

  4. Kasprowy Wierch Cable Car: the Zakopane cable car, which connects different points and allows you to reach the top of the surrounding mountains while enjoying a magnificent view during the journey
  5. giewont: mountain massif with a maximum height of 1.895 meters and which includes three different peaks. It allows excursions of different difficulties, some are really challenging and recommended only for those who are more experienced
  6. gubalowka: one of the most famous hills in the Zakopane area, you can reach the top by following various paths or by cable car
  7. Kasprowy Wierch: one of the best known peaks in the area. In summer it can be reached on foot via the paths, in winter by cable car, here there are some important ski facilities, small bars and places where you can recharge your batteries
  8. Wielka Krokiew: in Zakopane there are three ski jumpers, this is the biggest! Check out the events in the area, maybe you could attend some official event or competition
  9. Adventure Park Gubalowka: Outdoor adventure park on Gubalowka Hill, perfect especially for children and for an afternoon of fun
  10. Aqua Park Zakopane: water park open during the summer, ideal for enjoying an afternoon or a day of relaxation after the many excursions in the mountains

It is a destination that can be visited all year round: in summer it is possible to enjoy nature and outdoor activities, such as excursions on the numerous paths or relaxation among the amusement parks and in the town center; in winter there are numerous ski resorts for winter sports.

To arrive you must necessarily book a flight to Krakow (flights from € 23,00, duration 2 hours). From Krakow you can then take the direct bus (from € 3,00 to € 6,00, 2 h 30 min), the train from Krakow Glowny to Zakopane (either direct or with a change, from € 3,00 to € 16,00 , 3, average duration 1 h) or by car (30 h 20,00 min, rental from € / day).
