The largest Christmas tree in the world

Yes, the largest in the world is located right here, in Italy, even if calling it "tree" is not exactly correct ... It is in fact much more! More precisely, it is located at Gubbio, and each year comes to life with an impressive array of lights and cables that illuminate the Mount Ingino. A few numbers? 8,5 km of electric cables, 650 meters high and 350 the width of the base, more than 700 lights used to draw the outline of the tree, the star on top and the decorations inside. A nice primacy for Italy and for the city of Gubbio!

The tallest Christmas tree in Europe

Here we are talking about a real Christmas tree, and a tradition that takes place every year in Lisbon, in Praça do Comércio. Here, in fact, a mast of 75 meters! Here too some numbers help to imagine these immense proportions: 280 tons of weight, 2 months to assemble it and 300 workers!

The largest glass tree in the world

It could only be a Murano, and made by a naturally Italian artist. It is about Simone Cenedese (www.simonecenedese.it), and the tree is 8,5 meters high. A show of polychrome Murano glass tubes, all of them mouth blown. Exhibited for the first time in Murano in 2006 and the following year in Venice.

The most expensive Christmas tree in the world

It is located at Abu Dhabi, in the United Arab Emirates, and its value is to make your head spin: 11 million dollars! If you are thinking of a theft ... well, it won't be easy! It is in fact about 13 meters high, and from its branches hang jewels of all kinds: gold bracelets, necklaces, approx 200 precious stones among diamonds, sapphires, rubies, emeralds. The guests of theEmirates Palace Hotel, needless to say ... an extra luxury hotel!

The most beautiful Christmas tree in the world

Here we clearly go into the subjective sphere, but if we consider tradition and fame ... then that of New York shouldn't fear comparisons! If only for the ninth time, the star at the top will be of Swarovski. A detail that certainly places him ... among the stars of this ranking!

The smallest Christmas tree in the world

It was presented at a fair in 2007, in Germany, and is just over a cm tall (14 mm to be precise). What makes it extraordinary is that its lights are really working, and it is inserted in a diorama complete with a train and a Santa Claus sleigh with a doll and a teddy bear!

The most ecological Christmas tree in the world

And we are three! Yet another record for Italy, which thanks to the invention of the company "Equations", the country palm with the most ecological Christmas tree is also awarded. A truly original idea: a tree decorated not with balls but ... with hay bales! More precisely, it is a tree made of hay bales inside the park of Royal Villa in Monza. A symbolic work without any artificial ornament, but only hay bales which, after the holidays, will return to feed the cattle. More eco-friendly than that ...!
