Despite the crisis, travel it always remains one of the best ways to invest your money. Maybe being more careful when you spend, booking in time flights ed hotels, all in the name of low cost.
CNN has drawn up a ranking of the most visited places in the world of 2012, among confirmations, some surprises and excellent exclusions, here is the top ten.
First place for the Torre Eiffel di Paris. Symbol of France par excellence, it is visited on average by five and a half million tourists every year and is also the most visited paid monument in the world. It is estimated that since 1889, the year of its inauguration, it has been visited by 250 million tourists.
Place of honor for ours Coliseum. The Flavian Amphitheater, built in Rome in just eight years (from 72 AD to 80 AD), it could hold up to 50.000 people. Used for gladiator shows and many other public events, it owes its name to statue of the "Colossus of the Sun God" built next to the structure.
Third place for Central Park, the New York. Manhattan's green lung was opened in 1857 and measures nearly 4 square kilometers.
Immediately off the podium is the Gardens by the Bay di Singapore. The new tourist attraction can count on 101 hectares of equipped greenery, very rich botanical gardens and a forest with gigantic trees, all artificial though.
In fifth place the Golden Gate Bridge a San Francisco. The bridge, which connects the city bay with the Pacific Ocean, was completed in 1937 and measures 2km and 700m.
Sixth position for the Waikiki Beach di Honolulu, in the Hawaii. It is one of the best known beaches in the world, full of hotels super modern and local fashion.
In seventh place the Holy Family di Barcelona. Perhaps the most discussed masterpiece by Antoni Gaudì, begun in 1882 and still under construction, is one of the main attractions of the Catalan city.
Eighth position for the New York square of Times Square. Famous in the world for the gigantic billboards that cover all the buildings, it has always been the symbol of "Big Apple".
In the penultimate place of the top ten is the Balboa Park di San Diego. Perhaps not everyone will know it but this green area of the Californian city is one of the busiest places in the States. Inside there is also a huge zoo with animals from all over the world.
Tail lightArch of Triumph di Paris. Commissioned by Napoleon in 1806 to celebrate his military victories throughout Europe, is located at the beginning of the Champs-Élysées and is more than 50 meters high.
Out of the ranking there are also the Trevi Fountain (11 °), the Tower Bridge of London (17th) and the Palace of Versailles (20 °). Perhaps travelers from all over the world don't have too refined tastes.
