MSC Poesia, the ship that goes around the world

It will set sail in 2022 the MSC World Cruise, the cruise that goes around the world. A navigation of 117 days touching 43 countries in five continents aboard the MSC Poesia.

The ship will sail from Italy - from Genoa or Civitavecchia - in January and, following the route west, through Cape Town and Suez, guests will be able to circumnavigate the planet from side to side.

We will touch dream destinations, such as Rio de Janeiro, Buenos Aires and Ushuaia, in Tierra del Fuego. Then we will move from Valparaíso (Chile) and towards Callao (Peru), where we can explore Machu Picchu and the Amazon Rainforest.

The journey continues to Arica (Chile) and Hanga Roa, the capital of Easter Island, passing through Papeete (Tahiti) before going to Aiutaki and Rarotonga - the main of the Cook Islands - and making a special trip to the Bounty Bay Passage (Islands Pitcairn).

Auckland and Napier - the art capital of the world - lead the way to the discovery of New Zealand. Overnight in the iconic city of Sydney (Australia) and then discover the magnificent scenery of the Fiordland National Park and the Great Barrier Reef (Cairns, Australia). From here the ship will visit some destinations characterized by breathtaking nature such as Darwin (Australia) - where it is possible to immerse yourself in the ancient Aboriginal culture and discover the pristine national park.

MSC Poesia will also make stops in the turquoise waters of the Island of Lifou in New Caledonia, in the charming Port Vila (Vanuatu) in Alotau and in Rarotonga, in Papua New Guinea.

On the way back we will stop at the relaxing and breathtaking Lombok Island in Indonesia, Singapore and Port Klang (Malaysia). The stop in Sri Lanka includes a visit to the vibrant capital of Colombo with an overnight stay in Mumbai (India). Salalah (Oman) and Aqaba (Jordan) - where it is possible to visit the archaeological site Petra - are the last stops before heading to the Suez Canal to reach Europe.

With no more than four days of navigation on the open sea, those lucky enough to take this cruise will have a unique experience thanks to overnight stays in nine cities: Rio de Janeiro, Buenos Aires, Ushuaia, Valparaiso, Callao, Papeete, Sydney, Benoa and Mumbai so that you have more time to visit these beautiful destinations and also enjoy a few nights on the mainland.

For those who get off the ship there are also many excursions, 15 of which are included in the cost of the ticket that can be integrated with other tours to be booked before departure or even during the cruise.

But how much does it cost to take a cruise around the world? It starts from 13.499 euros per person for those who have the opportunity to travel for 117 days, but the cruise can be split into several tranches. The price includes drinks during meals, 15 excursions and a 30% discount on the laundry service. In addition, those who join the MSC Voyagers Club have a 5% discount on their booking.

MSC Poesia is one cruise ship 293,8 meters long and with a tonnage of 92.409 tons. On his 13 bridges can accommodate up to 3.013 passengers and 987 crew members. There are many activities to do on board when you are not ashore to visit the places. From minigolf to tennis, from the jogging path to the gym with aerobics and yoga center and of course the swimming pools. There is also the spa and the beauty salon. And for the evenings on board, discotheque, video game room, theater, cinema, casino, library and even an art gallery and a photo gallery, as well as an area where you can also do some shopping.
