1 - Balata dei Turchi, Scauri

The Balata dei Turchi is in first place among the most beautiful beaches of Pantelleria, but it is also true as regards the difficulty in reaching it, for this reason it is considered a gem for a few. Its position is somewhat uncomfortable, it is in fact at the foot of a cliff set in an ancient prehistoric quarry.

Cala Cottone is a short stretch of coast surrounded by pebbles and rocks, bathed by clear waters and so clear that they can admire the beautiful backdrops with snorkeling and diving.

It is located a few kilometers from the previous Cala Gadir but, unlike its neighbor, Cala Cottone is among the less frequented beaches of Pantelleria always for the difficulty in getting there, however, it hides truly impressive landscapes.

This little cove on the coast owes its name to its role as a commercial port in the 800th century for the transport of cotton, at the time one of the main sources of income for the island.

5 - Cala Levante, Khamma

La Pantelleria beach that boasts the best landscape it is undoubtedly Cala Levante, so called for its position on the east side of the island where the sun rises. The beach consists of an expanse of dark pebbles and extends between two natural rock formations, the Arco dell'Elefante and the Faraglione of Punta Tracino, framing a sea that is always clear and clean.

Cala Levante is indeed ideal for diving and snorkeling, appreciated above all for the remains of Roman ships lying in its depths, but it is also a good spot for fishing enthusiasts.

It is not a sea beach, but it is the only sandy beach of Pantelleria. The Mirror of Venus is indeed a small lake situated on an extinct crater and fed by thermal waters, located in the north of the island in a protected park.
The waters of this lake bathe a thin strip of soft white sand and are rich in minerals, therefore beneficial for the skin, and with a color so blue that you will feel like you are at the sea.

The panorama all around is nothing short of surprising with thick and verdant Mediterranean vegetation and the sea on the horizon not far away. Furthermore, as soon as you land in Pantelleria, it is one of the first places you meet due to its proximity to the airport, but also to Campobello where there are accommodation and services.

A safe and very hospitable place, Pantelleria is now very popular with tourists. It can offer all the amenities and already reaching it is not difficult at all thanks to the numerous sea connections with the port of Trapani and direct flights from the airports of Palermo and Trapani.
