Post COVID19 travel advice
If you are planning a trip, make sure you are in line with safety measures. Follow government guidelines and only return to travel when the green light is given. Prefer natural and perhaps non-mass destinations, and in general promote local tourism: discover the wonders of your city, your region and your state. Try to avoid long-haul travel and at most choose destinations reachable with a few hours of flight.

Summer destinations in Northern Italy

1 - Cinque Terre, Liguria

The Cinque Terre most likely are one of the most visited and known areas of Liguria. These are five villages with a picturesque charm, located along the eastern Riviera, between Genoa and La Spezia. Monterosso al Mare, Corniglia, Vernazza, Manarola and Rio Maggiore they are a romantic corner with little houses perched on the rock and colorful colors. The entire coast of the Cinque Terre can also be easily visited with a tour from La Spezia
Alternatively, for lovers of trekking and walking we recommend a guided trek in the Cinque Terre, with two routes that connect the villages to each other: the first and most "challenging" is the Alta Via delle Cinque Terre, while the second is also known like Sentiero Azzurro and runs from Levanto to Porto Venere. This last route in particular is scenically very beautiful, especially the stretch between Rio Maggiore and Manarola, known as Via dell'Amore. However, due to the high number of tourists visiting, there is a toll of just under € 8,00 per person to access it.

If you intend to stay near the town, we recommend that you don't just relax on the beach but to wander around the houses and the historic center, making a trip to the Church of Santa Maria Assunta, the watchtowers and the very interesting Museo del Mare.

However, it would be a real shame to be in Positano and not go and fully explore all the wonders of the Amalfi Coast.
If you are based in Naples, directly from the capital we suggest you take an all-inclusive tour of the Amalfi Coast. If you want to pamper yourself, allow yourself the luxury and pleasure of a tour of the Amalfi Coast by boat.
If you are by car, you can also reach Amalfi, Atrani, Furore, Ravello and Vietri sul Mare, alternatively, you can rent a boat or take part in an organized boat tour to visit the coast directly from the sea.
