George’s Island: is one of the islands that make up the Boston Harbor and is located about 11 km from downtown. To reach it you need to take a ferry on which you can learn about the history of the islet thanks to the narration of the captain in piped music. Theater of events of the American civil war, today it is purely a place to spend a day out of town for a picnic or to play on the lawns, as bathing is prohibited here. Little known and little frequented by Bostonians, George's Island represents an opportunity for tourists to see up close and explore a piece of American history thanks above all to the military fort still standing.

Preferred Time: from 9 to sunset
