1 - Everglades

Lmost popular day trip is this national park. There are three different entrances that are located in three different cities, the one that interests you is the Shark Valley entrance.
It is only 66 miles from Miami and you can reach it very easily by car, the only way to visit it!

It is a very large area and there is no public transport within it! The alternative you have is to take part in an organized tour that also includes transportation.

The Everglades National Park in Florida is considered the wildest area in the United States. Furthermore, it was stated World Heritage Site, Biosphere Reserve and Wetland of International Interest.
You can get lost in the huge swamps, crocodile farms and various activities, such as kayaking, trekking and boating. With an extension of 6.000 square kilometers and three different entrances in three different cities. Visiting it in one day on your own is impossible (the ideal would be to camp and stay several days).

But having only one day available it is important to select well what to do and what to see (that's why taking a tour might be more comfortable).
