Sustainable tourism: Let's save Formentera!

Do you smell the scent of the sea? Do you remember the aperitifs at the Pirate? And the long walks? It is very close to the opening of the new summer season of Formentera. The smallest of the Balearic Islands is a treasure chest of the Mare Nostrum: a Mediterranean paradise that has nothing to envy to a Caribbean island. And once again this year we want to appeal to sustainable tourism and remind the many tourists that they will visit it that Formentera is a special island, and that for several generations the inhabitants have been fighting for its protection. The crystalline sea - thanks to the presence of the Posidonia Oceanica prairie that acts as a purifier for the waters - the 20 km of fine white beach, the unspoiled wild nature, the flora and its fauna, the underwater forest are just some of the precious treasures of this land.

Just think of the fact that Formentera can only be reached by sea…. This alone is enough to realize how much a privilege it is to live or come on vacation to this wonderful place. Here you can really find something different, something that no exotic holiday can offer: a unique all-round experience. The freedom that you can breathe deeply, the morning light, the full colors are characteristics that have always attracted artists and craftsmen from all over the world since the 360s.

Let's not waste this magic!

This year, if we decide to organize a holiday in Formentera, let's do it with the heart and conscience.
