1 - Grappa

For once we change the order, and start with the liqueurs. There grappa it is certainly one of the most characteristic spirits that you can find in Ljubljana. Very frequent are those based on plums, cherries and juniper, which generally accompanies appetizers or are just considered an "aperitif".

2 - Kraški pršut

This dessert, very popular throughout Ljubljana, is a variant of the more famous ghibazza. It is a shortcrust pastry base filled with poppy seeds, ricotta, walnuts and apples, all separated by a layer of phyllo dough and arranged in a precise order.

10 - Potica

It is one of the typical sweets of Slovenia, which testifies to how rich its cuisine is. Its name means "to roll up", and seeing it you will understand why. It is a dough similar to sponge cake, seasoned with various spices, chocolate and sometimes even orange peel and pieces of biscuit, which is then rolled up.
