Plan your trip: Flights, hotels and tours

Unfortunately, Jakarta is a very chaotic city and frenetic and there is no shortage of slowdowns and traffic jams, even very frequent. Reaching it is easy via its international airport and main station, Gambir, but getting around the city takes time and patience.
Renting a car is absolutely not recommended, due to heavy traffic and alternating number plates, and taking taxis for long-haul journeys that could take hours. The subway, on the other hand, is an excellent solution thanks to its 5 lines perfectly functioning and well connected to everything.
As for accommodation and costs, there is no need to worry. Jakarta is in fact rich in accommodation facilities and the prices of most are very low.
