1 - Alcantara Gorges
- Where it is: Alcantara Valley, Sicily
The Alcantara Gorges are a natural Canyon, located between the towns of Motta Camastra and Castiglione di Sicilia.
Between these openings the river descends towards the mouth crossing the particular lava stone. But let's leave beauty aside and dedicate ourselves to particularities: the waters of this river are always very cold, even in the hottest periods of the year.

It amazes for its gardens, for its fountains and for its baroque, an authentic masterpiece of Italian art. It is no coincidence that it was declared a UNESCO heritage site in 1997.

Alberobello is one of the best known cities in the province of Bari and in the whole of Puglia.

If you don't like dead colors, but are looking for a cheerful and carefree fairy tale, Vipiteno is for you. This colorful town in the province of Bolzano would seem ideal for a fantasy film. It is no coincidence, in fact, that Vipiteno enters the list of most beautiful villages in Italy.
6 - Monumental Forest of Sasseto

This authentic delight located in the heart of the Lazio region, is located near the hamlet of Torre Alfina, in the municipality of Acquapendente. Torre Alfina and Acquapendente: the names of these cities would be enough to get an idea of the fairytale scenery that can be encountered in this area. To enter the Monumental Woods, just enter the public gardens of the Torre Alfina village.
7 - Civita di Bagnoregio
- Where is it: Municipality of Bagnoregio, Lazio
In an isolated position inhabited by very few people, this village can only be reached by crossing a bridge.

Conceived by Frederick II of Swabia, this fortress is a medieval construction model. Built around 1240, the particularity of this castle concerns the anniversary of the number 8 in its history. There are eight towers of the castle, eight sides, eight rooms on the first and second floor. For Castel del Monte the number 8 is a constant, an obsession. And we just had to put it in position number 8 in our ranking.
9 - Abbey of San Galgano

The Abbey of San Galgano is located a few tens of kilometers from Siena. Unfortunately, this monastic abbey is almost completely ruined. The roof has collapsed and only the walls withstand the passage of time. However, even today it could be a worthy set for a self-respecting film. More than words, images are needed.
